Split PDF
Break one PDF into several — every page on its own, every N pages, or by ranges — without uploading it.
Your PDF is split in your browser — nothing is uploadedBreak one PDF into several files — by page, every N pages, or by ranges
or drag it here. Nothing is uploaded: everything happens in your browser, with no size limit.
How splitting a PDF works here
Quick answer: choose your PDF, pick how to split it — every page into its own PDF, every N pages, or by ranges such as 1-3, 4-10, 11- — and press Split PDF. With several results you get a list to download one by one, or everything at once as a ZIP. Each range you type becomes one file, so "1-3, 4-10" gives you exactly two PDFs.
Pages are copied, not re-rendered: text stays searchable, images keep their original quality, and links between pages that end up in the same file keep working. Your original PDF is only read, never changed. Page numbers are the ones your PDF viewer shows in its toolbar, and the row of numbered chips shows each page's paper size and orientation so you can check before splitting.
Nothing is uploaded — the file is split inside your browser tab — so there is no file-size cap either: a 200 MB scan that online tools reject works as long as your device has the memory. That also makes it safe for the documents people actually split: bank statements, payslips, contracts and school files.
How to write page ranges
| You type | You get |
|---|---|
| 1-3, 4-10 | Two PDFs: pages 1–3 and pages 4–10 |
| 1, 2, 3 | Three one-page PDFs |
| 5- | Pages 5 to the last page |
| -3 | Pages 1 to 3 |
| 10-8 | Pages 10, 9 and 8, in that order |
| Every 2 pages (on a 7-page PDF) | Four PDFs: 1–2, 3–4, 5–6 and 7 |

FAQ
How do I split a PDF into individual pages?
Choose your PDF, keep "Every page into its own PDF" selected, and press Split PDF. You get one file per page, named with its page number (report-page-1.pdf, report-page-2.pdf…). Download them one by one from the list, or all together with "Download all (ZIP)".
How do I split a PDF by ranges?
Choose "By ranges" and type the ranges separated by commas: 1-3, 4-10, 11- gives three PDFs — pages 1 to 3, 4 to 10, and 11 to the end. A single number is a one-page file, "-5" means pages 1 to 5, and "8-6" keeps pages 8, 7, 6 in that order.
Is there a file-size limit?
Not a fixed one. Online splitters cap uploads (often around 100 MB) because they have to receive and store your file; this page never uploads it, so the only limit is your device's memory. Large scanned PDFs of a few hundred MB work on most computers.
How do I open the ZIP on my phone?
On iPhone, tap the ZIP in the Files app and it unpacks into a folder. On Android, open it from Files by Google or your file manager and choose Extract. If you only need a few of the PDFs, skip the ZIP and use the Download button next to each file.
Does splitting change or lower the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are copied as they are — text stays text, images keep their original compression — and your original file is never modified. The pieces together can weigh a little more than the original, because fonts and images shared between pages are included in every file that uses them.
